LADDER: -

 

This is a safety devices it is use so many way to do height work it have two poles with middle  rungs.

 

TYPES OF LADDERS: -

 

1.     Single ladder

2.     Step ladder

3.     Extension ladder

4.     Build-up ladder(permanent)

5.     Rope Ladder

 

 

 

SINGLE LADDER: -

 

This is portable ladder it is commonly used so many people. 






 

STEP LADDER: -

 

It has two pair of legs upper part hinge it is comfortable to do work at normal height. It is


 

EXTENSIONS LADDER: -

 

It has two sections it most used at height work like electrical linemen. 




 

FIXED LADDER: -

 

It is stable ladder it mostly appears in industrial, normal pits, water tanks and upstairs.


 

ROPE LADDER: -

 

It is mostly use in defense side. It is use most difficult.


 

LADDER HAZARDS: -

 

1.     Slip, trip, and fall

2.     Material slip on ground worker

3.     Electrical shock

4.     Break ladders

5.     Ladder fall down when surface not good

 

LADDER PRECAUTIONS: -

 

1.     Checking ladder condition before start work

2.     Remove defective ladder

3.     Don’t setup ladder near electrical wire

4.     Use grip type of PPE

5.     Set up ladder on good surface area

6.     Don’t take material when time of climbing ladder and don’t stand on top rug



 

LADDER SET UP CONDITIONS OR 4 TO 1 RULE: -

 

1.     Safe ladder setup angle is 75.5 degrees

2.     So we must maintain 4 to 1 rule Safe ladder setup

3.     Suppose ladder has 4 feet we must Left 1 feet in ground level area

 

HOW CLIMBS LADDER SAFELY: -

 

3 point contact: - (This is best climbing method for safe climbing ladder)

 

1.     Any three body parts contact to the ladder when climbing time

2.     Climbing only one side and don’t stay at top rugs of the ladder
